The Deepal S05 introduces a fresh design approach distinct from previous Deepal models, with a sportier and more dynamic look. Its exterior features a closed front grille paired with a three-segment lower air intake. Dimensionally, the car measures 4620 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1600 mm in height, with a 2880 mm wheelbase.
Depending on the trim, the S05 offers various advanced features, including an electric trunk, illuminated ring lights, and pixelated headlights. Frameless doors and hidden door handles are standard across all versions, enhancing the vehicle's sleek appearance.
Inside, the S05 features a sophisticated two-tone color scheme accented with chrome details along all edges. Key interior features include hidden air conditioning vents, a 15.4-inch central control screen, and intelligent cruise control. A standout feature is the absence of a traditional instrument panel behind the steering wheel, replaced by a large HUD (Head-Up Display). All models come equipped with the Qualcomm SA8155P automotive chip for enhanced processing power.
The extended-range version of the S05 utilizes a 1.5L range extender system, delivering 72 kW of power for the extender and 160 kW for the electric motor, paired with a 27.28 kWh battery pack. This setup provides a pure electric range of 200 km. The fully electric version, meanwhile, is equipped with a 175 kW electric motor and a 56.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering an estimated CLTC range of 510 km.
As Deepal’s first entry-level SUV, the S05 aims to bring an affordable yet advanced electric driving experience to a broader audience.
